Find Your Path at App State

Wherever you are in your journey—exploring majors, building career skills, or looking for campus work—we’ve got you covered. This page pulls together the most useful tools, services, and next steps in one place.

Majors & Careers

Not sure what to study or what you can do with your major? Start here.

  • Talk with a career coach. Get help clarifying your interests, skills, values, and personality—and how they translate to majors and careers.
  • Use Focus 2 Career. Explore App State majors, map occupations, and make informed choices with a guided assessment. (Ask for access during a major/career appointment.)
  • Drop in at the Career Studio. Peer guides can review resumes, brainstorm majors, and answer quick questions—no appointment needed. Mon–Thu, 2:00–6:00 p.m., Plemmons Student Union Room 222 (fall/spring).

  • Career Studio help. Get fast feedback on resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn.
  • Internships. Learn how to find roles in Handshake, prepare for interviews, and (when eligible) earn academic credit.
