You will have the opportunity every week to share just how incredible God is and the ways He has changed your life. With high energy, you will emcee the evening programming and ensure smooth evening transitions as you follow Next Step’s message outlines that go along with our video teaching series. You will work closely with the Worship Leader to ensure worship and programming flow smoothly. Not only will you have speaking opportunities each night, but you will also have ministry opportunities during the day as you serve alongside students on work projects. You will see students’ lives changed as they grow into a deeper understanding of God through serving in the community during the day and experiencing powerful programming each night.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the welcome, transitions, Yay Gods, and nightly announcements
- Share a nightly message outlined to accompany the video teaching series
- Facilitate and lead morning and afternoon devotionals
- Organize and oversee footnote station
- Responsible for all slides related to talks (Bible verses, photos etc.)
- Oversee all experiential elements of programming
- Lead and participate alongside students at work projects daily
- Participate in daily devos and nightly worship
- Contribute as a team player in all aspects of mission trip facilitation
Qualifications:
- Must be a believer in Jesus Christ and hold to Next Step’s Statement of Faith
- Previous mission experience preferred but not required
- Previous leadership experience preferred but not required
- Experience in teaching or public speaking preferred but not required
- Experience working with youth preferred but not required
- Outgoing and engaging personality
- Fluency in Spanish preferred (for Guatemala location only)
