The Marketing Intern is responsible for various creative, digital marketing, and administrative tasks that contribute to the effectiveness of Milwaukee Pretzel Company’s marketing and brand initiatives. This person works closely with the Director of Marketing to support content creation, digital campaigns, and brand engagement across MPC channels. This position will also support our consumer events and our eCommerce channels.

Key areas of responsibility and learning include:

  • Content Creation – Create and execute social media content across Milwaukee Pretzel Company’s digital channels including video, photography, graphics, and written content. Supporting food styling, behind-the-scenes storytelling, and brand content creation.
  • Social Media – Assisting with the planning, development, and publishing of social media content across MPC platforms. Monitoring engagement and providing basic reporting on performance and audience growth.
  • Internal Marketing Support – Assist the MPC internal team with brand initiatives, communications and internal content needs.
  • Campaign & Email Marketing Support – Working with the Director of Marketing to support seasonal promotions, product launches, and targeted marketing campaigns. Assisting with email campaign development, content creation, campaign setup, and performance reporting to help evaluate campaign effectiveness.
  • Events – Supporting marketing and brand events as needed, which may include evening and weekend availability when applicable.
  • Team Integration – Working with the broader marketing to support projects and initiatives that strengthen brand awareness, eCommerce sales and customer engagement.

The Content & Social Media Marketing Intern is a part-time position during the regular semester and summer months, with approximately 15–20 hours per week available. Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed for events.

Experience, Education, Certification:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Digital Media or Business Administration
  • Preferred graduation in 2026 or 2027
  • Demonstrated experience creating content for social media or digital platforms
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or short-form video editing tools is a plus
  • Portfolio or examples of social media, content, or creative work preferred (class projects, personal accounts, photography, video, etc.)

The position reports to the Director of Marketing.
