Position Overview

MECH FINIX LABS is seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable STEM Robotics Instructors to teach engaging, hands-on robotics and coding classes for students in Grades K–12.

The ideal candidate is passionate about STEM education, enjoys working with children, and can create a positive, interactive classroom where students develop confidence in engineering, programming, electronics, and robotics through project-based learning.

Key Responsibilities

STEM Instruction

  • Teach robotics, coding, electronics, engineering, automation, and STEM concepts using hands-on learning methods.(Project Based Learning)
  • Deliver engaging lessons using Raspberry Pi, Arduino, BBC micro:bit, robotics platforms, sensors, and other STEM technologies.
  • Simplify complex technical concepts into fun, age-appropriate lessons.

Project-Based Learning

  • Guide students in designing, building, programming, and testing robotics and engineering projects.
  • Encourage creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving.
  • Assist students in troubleshooting projects and overcoming technical challenges.

Classroom Management

  • Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Maintain student engagement while promoting teamwork and respect.
  • Manage classroom behavior professionally and effectively.

Student Support

  • Monitor attendance, participation, and student progress.
  • Provide encouragement and constructive feedback to help students succeed.

Equipment & Classroom Preparation

  • Prepare classrooms before each session.
  • Set up, organize, transport, and maintain robotics kits, laptops, tools, and instructional materials.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and stored after classes.

Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with fellow instructors and program coordinators to deliver exceptional STEM experiences.
  • Assist with classroom setup, cleanup, and other instructional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another related STEM field.
  • Passion for STEM education and inspiring young learners.
  • Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students in Grades 2–10.
  • Reliable, professional, and punctual.

Preferred

  • Previous teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or youth program experience.
  • Experience with robotics, coding, Arduino, BBC micro:bit, electronics, or engineering projects.
  • Experience leading hands-on STEM activities.
