This course helps nurses understand how prenatal massage principles may support comfort, rest, positioning, movement confidence, emotional safety, and coordinated care for pregnant, laboring, and postpartum patients. It connects trimester-specific changes, common discomforts, circulation and edema concerns, DVT vigilance, labor support, postpartum recovery, feeding-related posture strain, and referral pathways to practical nursing decisions. The course does not assume that every nurse will perform prenatal massage techniques. Depending on local scope, role, training, employer policy, supervision, consent, and insurance, some nurses may be able to provide selected pregnancy-related touch or comfort support. Others can use the course primarily to improve screening, positioning, communication, patient education, referral quality, and documentation.
